Gulfoss Waterfall

How beautiful is this waterfall?! While most people can’t stand the rain, it does have its benefits. In this case, it makes for an absolutely stunning waterfall – one of the most beautiful waterfalls you will likely see in your life. Most days people want a nice, clear, sunny day – but when in Iceland you should hope for rain to see this waterfall roar!

Thingvellir National Park

You are guaranteed to never find a national park like this one! This national park is practically untouched by visitors – it’s a great way to see the charm and natural beauty of nature without the destruction and chaos, as well as guided tours that don’t allow you to get the full experience on your own that so many visitors can bring to a site.

Blue Lagoon

While this may not be able to make the list for Iceland’s most natural beautiful places, it’s still beautiful in its own right – despite being man made. Blue Lagoon was dug out and filled by the nearby power station in order to provide us with this beautiful hot spring. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and it still is a must see despite it being dug up and somewhat of a tourist trap.

The Jokulsarlon Lagoon

One of Iceland’s hidden treasures: the Jokulsarlon Lagoon. Despite being 5 hours from Iceland’s capital city, Reykjavik, the lagoon is one of the most visited spots in Iceland and is a can’t miss location if you ever make it out to this island country. This is the perfect spot to behold the beauty of the aurora borealis.

Landmannalaugar

Good luck trying to pronounce this name! It seems to be from outside of this world, but then again, so does this place. It looks almost as if it’s from Jurassic Park or Mars, or some other dimension. The beauty and the vastness of this landscape is unsurmountable – you won’t find anywhere in the world like Landmannalaugar.
